Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority participated in the “UAE Innovates” exhibition at the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park, showcasing the latest AI-driven innovations to enhance transport services. These innovations included the installation of smart cameras in 4,850 taxis to analyze data and enhance security, as well as interactive display screens providing real-time public transport information. The Authority also showcased the Emergency Vehicle Priority System, which automatically clears safe paths for ambulances, fire trucks, and police vehicles at intersections, reducing congestion and improving emergency response times, ultimately saving lives. Sharjah RTA remains committed to adopting the latest advanced and innovative technologies that support its strategy to enhance sustainable public transport systems in the emirate.
