Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority Announces Comprehensive Operational Plan for Eid Al-Fitr Holiday

Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority has announced its readiness for the Eid Al-Fitr holiday through a comprehensive operational plan aimed at ensuring smooth and seamless mobility across public transport services in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The plan includes operating 4,600 intercity trips during the holiday period, with bus headways reduced to 5 minutes during peak hours, ensuring passenger comfort and minimizing congestion at stations.

Additionally, 12 public transport routes have been allocated, operating 1,144 daily trips across 527 bus stops using a fleet of 104 buses, enhancing operational efficiency and meeting increased demand during the holiday. As part of expanding mobility options, 8 daily marine trips have been organized between the emirates of Sharjah and Dubai during the holiday, providing passengers with a smooth and comfortable travel experience. These preparations reflect the Authority’s ongoing commitment to developing an integrated public transport system and delivering safe, reliable, and efficient services during peak seasons and public holidays.
