Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority Adopts Integrated Operational Plan for Eid Al Adha Holiday

Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority is preparing to welcome Eid Al Adha through an integrated operational plan aimed at enhancing mobility and providing safe, efficient, and convenient public transport services, in line with the anticipated increase in passenger demand during the holiday period.

The plan includes operating 9,760 intercity trips using 155 buses, while reducing bus headways to just 5 minutes during peak hours, contributing to greater operational efficiency, shorter waiting times, and improved service capacity.

In addition, 1,144 daily public transport trips will operate across 12 routes and 527 bus stops, supported by a dedicated fleet serving various areas of the Emirate. Marine transport services between Sharjah and Dubai will also be available throughout the Eid holiday, providing passengers with diverse and integrated mobility options.

These preparations reflect the Authority’s ongoing commitment to developing the public transport system and delivering high-quality services that ensure passenger comfort and safety during holidays and major occasions.
