With the start of the new academic year, Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority is intensifying its monitoring and inspection efforts across the school transport system through an integrated plan aimed at ensuring bus readiness and compliance with approved safety requirements and standards, providing students with safe and well-organised journeys.

The Authority continues to conduct field inspections to monitor the readiness of the school transport system and verify compliance with approved requirements and procedures, contributing to enhanced safety standards and improved service quality and efficiency.

The Authority also continues to implement driver training and qualification programmes in cooperation with the relevant entities, strengthening drivers’ competencies and raising awareness of safety procedures and their responsibilities when transporting students, with students’ safety and families’ peace of mind at the forefront of its priorities.

These efforts align with the objectives of the “Year of the Family 2026” and reflect the Authority’s commitment to providing a safe, reliable, and sustainable school transport system that enhances quality of life and provides students and their families with greater confidence and peace of mind across the Emirate of Sharjah.
