Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority recorded approximately 25.7 million passengers across its transport services during the first half of 2026, through an integrated network comprising taxis, public buses, intercity transport, and marine transport, reflecting the efficiency of its operations and the diversity of mobility options available across the Emirate.

As part of its drive to advance smart mobility, approximately 875,000 uses of smart transport systems were recorded during the same period, reflecting the growing role of technology in enhancing services and facilitating a more efficient mobility experience for users.

The Authority also continued to advance its sustainability efforts through the operation of 20 electric buses, alongside the expansion of the “On-Demand Bus” service, providing more flexible and efficient mobility options while reducing environmental impact and enhancing the quality of public transport services.

These indicators reflect the Authority’s ongoing efforts to develop a smart, integrated, and sustainable transport system that provides safe and convenient mobility options for all segments of society, enhances quality of life, and supports the objectives of the “Year of the Family 2026” and Sharjah’s vision for a more sustainable future.
