Speech of H.E Engineer Yousef Saleh Al-Suwaiji on the occasion of International Women's Day
H.E Engineer Yousef Saleh Al-Suwaiji, Chairman of Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, said
that the high standing that the woman has in the Emirate of Sharjah results from the great
interest and unlimited support for the women by H.E Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi,
Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint
Muhammad Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme
Council For family affairs in the Emirate of Sharjah in order to enable & help her to contribute
and participate effectively in all aspects of life.
And he added saying: H.E the Ruler of Sharjah always confirms in all circles that the woman is
an active and principal partner in the life whether in the prosperity or distress and supports
the man in order to form a strong family, indicating that the woman has already achieved a great
and outstanding successes in different health, social, political and economic fields.
And H.E Eng. Al-Suwaiji also added that the major roles carried out by Her Highness Sheikha
Jawaher bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of the
Supreme Council For family affairs in the Emirate of Sharjah, enabled the woman to fulfill all
the elements of a decent life by many and varied programs supported by Her Highness in this
aspect, as the woman could participate in the fields of corporate work and proved herself in
various sectors and achieved successes witnessed by everyone, as well as her important role in
educating her children and forming generations with science and knowledge. The woman has the
true will and sincere desire to participate effectively for the prosperity and development of
her country.
