SRTA launches several electronic initiatives at GITEX
As part of the Sharjah Government pavilion’s participation at GITEX Technology Week 2019,
Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has launched a number of smart projects and digital
services that ensure the digital transformation and consolidate the system of artificial
intelligence, aiming to develop its systematization and achieve excellence in performance and
overcome obstacles for several clients.
The services included several smart apps as well as re-launching the authority’s website that
serves the public in Arabic and English.
The inauguration was attended by Sheikh Salim bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah
Ruler's Office; Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Director General of Sharjah Department of
eGovernment; Eng. Yousef Saleh AlSuwaiji, Chairman of Sharjah Roads & Transport Authority
(SRTA); and several officials of the authority.
Abdelaziz Mohammed Al Jarwan, Director of SRTA added that the services are in line with the
directives of the wise leadership to provide the best services to our customers. The main
service launched today was the new smart application of the authority that includes 28
electronic services such as booking a taxi, locating a bus stop, and bus timings, amongst
others.
