SRTA raises efficiency of Al Dhaid City roads at a cost of 4.5 million dirhams
In completion of its annual plan to develop roads and enhance infrastructure in various cities
of the emirate, the Sharjah Roads & Transport Authority (SRTA) has increased the efficiency of
Al Dhaid City roads ,at a cost of 4.5 million dirhams, in order to enhance traffic safety for
road users, stated His Excellency Engineer Yousef Saleh Al Suwaiji, Chairman of the SRTA.
His Excellency added that the cities of the central region are currently witnessing an urban,
cultural and tourism renaissance, thanks to the support and guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr.
Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aiming to promote the
urban, cultural and tourism development in the region.
He explained that the Authority provides great importance to the road development projects in
the region, in implementation of His Highness’s directives that aim to provide the best services
and projects for citizens and residents. This contributes in upgrading the emirate's competitive
position in accordance with the highest levels and enhancing its investment attractiveness and
development.
He has also shed light on the Authority’s efforts, during implementing its maintenance projects,
to ensure the upgrading of roads , raising the efficiency of roads, and preserving the cultural
and aesthetic appearance of the emirate, as well as achieving the highest traffic safety rates
for road users in order to preserve lives and property.
