World Disability Union honored the Sharjah Roads and Transportation Authority
World Disability Union honored the Sharjah Roads and Transportation Authority on Sunday,
27-3-2022, for obtaining the International Union of Disabled People certificate Category (B).
The Authority takes into account the needs of people with disabilities in all its various
projects and initiatives, so it adapted buses and taxis to suit the needs of people with
disabilities and presented Sayer card that is exempted from public transportation fees within
the city of Sharjah,
in addition to the new tariffs for taxis designated for people with disabilities that can be
requested and used throughout the day by calling 600525252.
The Authority's efforts continue to implement the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan
bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, towards making the
emirate an ideal environment that takes into account the needs of people with disabilities.
